INTERESTING FACTS

The (CS) MacKay-Bennett, named for the CCC co-founders, was used for the laying of the cable and underwater cable maintenance. In April 1912, it was hired by the White Star Line, to retrieve bodies from the RMS Titanic wreckage. The vessel retrieved 306 bodies, 116 buried at sea, and 190 brought to shore.
